Is it not the numbers of fans/friends/followers someone has on social media platform that makes them influencer. And I can defend my case.
Before I dive in, let me try to define an influencer. For me, influencer is someone who has the power to influence the decision of whoever can make change in any aspect.
Our daily lives, there are so many influencers that contribute to how we live politically, socially, economically, spiritually, and intellectually. "Social media" influencers are the least people who have influence on those areas I've mentioned. This era, social media platforms created virtual world where someone thinks that he can make potential influence on anything he wants by just posting something on some platform. That's completely incorrect. For me these platforms have only one capacity and it's to make a trend, which is very tiny area comparing to the millions or billions of posts people share everyday. Mostly, this platforms promote individualism, everyone cares how much views/followers/fans/friends he gains only.
So, let's comeback to our topic. Social influencers are sometimes unknown to most of the society, and they have huge impact on our daily lives. These people include clan leaders, businessmen, religious leaders, educators and other social workers.
Now, we understood who are the real influencers, so let's distinguish them from the other "social influencers" and think of how can we influence them to contribute for the greater good.
And finally, if you are interested to become a real influencer, don't waste your time and energy on becoming an influencer that can be Suspended, Deactivated, Blocked, or Removed.
